I was born in Germany and lived coast to coast during my parents' seven military assignments. I was baptized and added to Lord's church while living in California in 1980. Our family finally landed in Huntsville, AL which is where I spent my high school years. I feel so blessed to have experienced the Lord's body in so many different places growing up and many of those members I still have connections with today and they have been a great influence upon my spiritual life. I then came to Starkville to attend Mississippi State University beginning in 1989. I received my degree in Electrical Engineering and never left. I met my wife Susan on her first Sunday at MSU in the UCSC Bible class (taught by Johnie Jenkins) and we went on our first date 2 days later. Three years later we were married and have shared many wonderful years together here in Starkville where we raised our three children - Jessica, Sydney, Bradley. Our children all went to and graduated from MSU and our daughters met and married their husbands through the ministry of this congregation and the UCSC. During our time here I have been involved in teaching classes, directing summer camp, serving as a deacon beginning in 2004 in the areas of Prayer, Involvement, Education, and Youth and Family before being asked to serve as a Shepherd in April 2014.
One of my favorite passages of scripture is: Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
