Youth Ministry

Deuteronomy 6:4-8 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as a symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates."

The Starkville church of Christ is dedicated to the spiritual growth of our young people.  We believe strongly that parents have an incredible influence in the faith formation of their children.  We also believe that God intended the family to be the primary source through which the spiritual formation of our children is accomplished.  This is why, at the Starkville church of Christ, we believe in our family based youthy minsitry.  Together, we hope to grow our children socially and most importantly spiritually.

Wesley Thompson is our youth minister and has been here 15+ years.  Wesley's experience nurturing and dealing with teens is impeccable!  "With the Bible as our authority and Jesus as our example, our Youth Program exists to expose young people to God's love and encourage them to accept, experience, and share the joy of Christian life and service."
